Geum ‘Bell Bank’
Height x Spread: 45cm x 40cm
‘Bell Bank’ bears nodding, thimble-shaped coral pink flowers that gently unfold and straighten to reveal frilly semi double flowerheads, which dance above mid-green basal foliage. This dainty but tough hybrid cultivar was raised by Geoffrey Smith in the 1980’s. Â
Widely admired for its graceful and prolific flowering from April to June, it prefers a moist soil which is not waterlogged in winter, harking back to one of its parents Geum rivale. Â A wonderful colour for the front of a border, its delicacy perfectly lends itself to a cottage garden setting. It grows best in a damp but free-draining soil in either lightÂ
