Geranium sanguineum ‘Album’
Height x Spread: 30cm x 60cm
This long flowering form of ‘Bloody Cranesbill’ delivers a carpet of bright white large saucer-shaped flowers above small, deeply lobed dark green foliage, which turns red in the autumn.
A classic cottage garden plant, it is both very versatile and low maintenance. Â Just trim back faded flower stems to encourage further blooms. Â Use it as decorative ground cover suppressing weeds, within a border or as an ingredient in a wildflower meadow. Â Bees will seek it out. Not particularly fussy it will grow in any fairly fertile soil with some drainage. Â It prefers a sunny or partial shade spot.Â
