Digitalis Goldcrest (‘Waldigone’PBR)
Height x Spread: 50cm x 30cm
Clusters of flower spikes with trumpet-shaped apricot flowers and golden throats with dark red spots, appear above a low rosette of dark green foliage. This recently introduced Digitalis is a sterile hybrid, flowering its socks off for several weeks from mid summer.
Plant it where you can enjoy its delicate and prolific display best, such as the front of a border, or in a container around a favourite seating area.  An excellent cut flower, it also looks wonderful planted in larger drifts within a woodland setting.  It thrives in any fertile, humus-rich, moist soil with some drainage in light shade or full sun.Â
All parts are poisonous.
