Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata ‘Nora Barlow’ (Barlow Series)
Height x Spread: 90cm x 30cmÂ
A beautiful old variety with double spurless flowers in late spring, held on strong wiry stems over blue-green foliage. The rounded heads are formed from narrow deep, dusky pink petals tipped with pale green. Â
This delicious flower looks wonderful combined with Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata ‘Ruby Port’ or late spring flowering bulbs. Â Like many Aquilegia, it will cross breed readily, so be prepared to weed out unwanted seedlings. These short lived perennials are well worth growing to give a good show in the mixed border, either in sun or part shade, in any reasonable soil.Â
